All safaris can be done in tents in campsites.

It is also possible to sleep in mobile camps that are moved according to the migration. In the central Serengeti, in Tarangire, and on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, the camps where one can sleep are fixed.

These places are called tented camps or luxury tented camps depending on their category.

In Karatu or Arusha, if you do not camp, you will overnight in permanent houses.
