For an authentic and responsible tourism !

Il Maasai Hero Tours is a local agency based in Arusha, Tanzania. The agency is managed by a Tanzanian and a Swiss woman Edgar & Laure.

Edgar worked as a guide for several agencies for more than ten years before opening his own agency to be personally involved in customer relationships and satisfaction. He wishes to share with his customers his passionate convictions regarding protecting nature and  animals that inhabit it and preserving the Maasai lands and  heritage.

The guides on his team share this knowledge of the nature, animals and life of the Maasai people. They are also convinced of the need to protect this special culture.

Laure has been living between Tanzania and Switzerland for several years, and knows the culture and people of the country well. She is responsible for the administrative part of the trip: she is in charge of elaborating with the clients the trip of their dreams, of the flight and hotels reservations, and provides for communication with the French, German or English speaking customers so that everything goes smoothly during their time in Tanzania.

Il Maasai Hero Tours proposes different destinations (see under destinations) and different tours (see under safaris). You can travel with your family, your friends, your professional colleagues or for your honeymoon to observe wildlife and flora. You may choose to sleep in a tent in the middle of the Serengeti or in a 5* lodge. We strive to offer you the trip you’ll never forget! This trip can be custom made or correspond to one of our ready-made solutions.

The agency, concerned about the environment and the well-being of the natives, donates  to the NGO The Nature Conservancy in Tanzania. This organization works with partners and communities in Tanzania to ensure a healthy environmental future. It is committed both to supporting both the Hadza, a hunter-gatherer tribe, to preserve their living and hunting territories, and  the park rangers who conserve corridors for wildlife and guarantee the rights of indigenous communities.
